IMPORTANT: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 MONTHS from the day you arrive in Bali. If it expires within 6 months, airlines will deny you boarding. Please check your expiry date today!
Most nationalities need a Visa on Arrival (approx $35 USD). You can buy this at the airport, but the queue can be long.
We highly recommend applying online for the e-VOA 2-14 days before you fly to skip the queue.
Official Indonesian Immigration SiteIndonesia now uses an electronic customs form. You must fill this out 2 days before flying. It generates a QR code that you scan upon exit at the airport.
Fill out ECD Form HereDo not drink the tap water. Use bottled or filtered water even for brushing your teeth.
Bring some charcoal tablets or Imodium just in case of "Bali Belly." We also recommend bringing mosquito repellent.
Cards (Visa/Mastercard) are accepted in most restaurants and hotels. However, you will need cash (IDR - Rupiah) for small warungs, markets, and transport.
Use ATMs inside banks (like BNI, Mandiri, BCA) rather than standalone booths on the street to avoid skimming.
